TAFE

TAFE (Technical And Further Education) has a history of more than 100 years. It is a unified national vocational and technical education model in Australia. It is an important part of Australian higher education. It is an education system jointly invested and managed by the Australian Federal Government with state and territory governments and is the largest higher education system in the Southern Hemisphere. Australia’s TAFE system currently has 1.27 million students, which is 1.7 times that of ordinary higher education institutions (currently 750,000 students).

The Australian Government attaches great importance to TAFE and has launched various initiatives to ensure and promote the sound development of TAFE: build a unified standard system across Australia, participate in the layout planning of TAFE colleges, establish corresponding departments for overall management, and continuous financial support.
